El jueves pasado fue un día movidito en Barcelona, ayer publicábamos las fotos de la inauguración en Galería Loewe de la pop up store de Tales of Spain, hoy os mostramos en imágenes la presentación de Wonder Projects, la nueva agencia de entretenimiento de Silvia Prada y Frankie Morera. A la cita acudieron un montón de amigos, primero en el Palau Mercader, en una velada más íntima y exclusiva, y más tarde en la sala Duvet. En su portfolio de representados, Bimba Bosé, David Delfín, Marcelo Burlón, Francesco Sourigues y David Vivirido de la revista Hercules Universal, Gerard Estadella aka Icanteachyou, Simone Siel, Jodie Harsh o la mismísima Rossy de Palma, a quien pudimos ver en directo en el Palau.

El jueves pasado se presentó en la Galería Loewe de Barcelona la colección Tales of Spain, que seguirá expuesta y de venta al público hasta el próximo mes de junio. Stuart Vevers sigue conjugando con maestría la tradición artesana, la iconografía española y la renovación de una marca que se niega a quedarse anclada en el pasado. Y el resultado no puede ser más sobresaliente. Tales of Spain es una colección de bolsos, pañuelos, carteras, cinturones y brazaletes dirigida al público más joven y no necesariamente de edad.

Atsuko Kudo started to produce her collections in 2000. Since that time she designs exclusively in latex. With pioneering techniques she always experiments with print, filigree, patterns, textures. The result is a strong elegance, which is never vulgar. Even using just one material the originality and the creativity of this designer are always very powerful. Dresses and accessories that are full of energy and that show also a subtle irony. With her corsets, suits, hats, accessories, until the unforgettable Beyoncé’s yellow latex cowgirl outfit for the "Telephone" video clip of Lady Gaga, Atsuko Kudo is pushing the fascination of latex to the highest level and always with an incredible sophistication.

Coming from a hippy village of Patagonia, Argentina, he made his name conquering the capital of fashion of the Old Continent. Working young as a Club Kid in the early 90s he progressively evolved into a full time event manager, becoming one of the most requested PR icon in the fashion field. Based in Milan, since 1998, he then transformed himself into a highly requested DJ, a reliable creative director and a successful business man.

In the middle of the ritziest quarter of Tokyo an incredible architectural project is the wonderful frame for one of the most important flagship store of a luxury brand such as Chanel. The sophisticated modernity of Ginza and the boundless creativity of the architect Peter Marino blended with the preciousness and the elegance of the label of Karl Lagerfeld created an unforgettable shopping experience in which even the most little detail is fully soaked of the brand essence.

While preparing for his last grant assignment at the AMFI academy Martijn Nekoui brought life in to MOAM (Mode Amsterdam). This graduation project found place on a sunny day in Galerie Fontana Fortuna with a dashing view on the Keizersgracht with Amsterdam’s most fashionable crowd. What started as a graduation project continues to an ongoing moving exhibition travelling around Amsterdam after getting praised for its innovation by the local fashion scene. I sat with Martijn Nekoui, the creative mind behind MOAM and we talked, for thirty minutes.

Colmado es una pequeña tienda llena de hermosos tesoros situada en el Born, Barcelona. En ella se pueden encontrar desde bolsos con forma de cangrejo, zapatos hechos a mano con mucho cariño, bisutería de cerámica o de madera, gafas de bambú, instrumentos musicales hechos a mano con cajas reutilizadas y agujas de plata hasta bordados de la india, vajillas ilustradas apilables, relojes de madera, prendas ilustradas, etc. Es un espacio en el que como bien dice Susana Rey (su dueña), puedes adquirir piezas de autor de diferentes disciplinas artísticas, todas ellas con las mismas características en común: calidad, buen diseño y atemporalidad.
